ASDA ORGANIZATION
 

ASDA members are of two kinds: Chapter members and unaffiliated members. The first kind are the worker bees. At the height of the Cold War, we had many Chapters across the country. Now we have only three, all located in the Washington DC area. There still are many unaffiliated members living throughout the country.

Chapter members elect a chapter president annually. Chapter Presidents constitute the Board of Governors of the Association. The Board meets at the call of the Executive Secretary to set policy and to schedule activities of the membership. Chapters meet monthly or bimonthly to discuss issues and plan activities.

The Board of Governors is supported by an Executive Secretary, a member appointed by the Board, who undertakes the business activities of the Board, edits and publishes the ASDA website and prepares the agenda for Board meetings.
