About ASDA

Welcome to ASDA!

ASDA, the American Strategic Defense Association, is an organization of concerned United States citizens founded in 1970 at the height of the Cold War to counter groups urging unilateral disarmament and alleging the impossibility of surviving nuclear attack. Now that the Cold War is over, our attention has shifted to nonproliferation of nuclear weapons, reduction of nuclear stockpiles, and since Nine-Eleven, the threat of terrorist nuclear attack. Members contribute commentary on current events, write letters, blogs, and exchange e-mails.

Sample our Commentary and, if interested, learn how to participate.
