Welcome to ASDA!

ASDA, the American Strategic Defense
Association, is an organization of concerned United States citizens, founded in
1970 at the height of the Cold War to give voice to the "Silent Majority"
against groups urging unilateral disarmament and preaching the impossibility of
survival in the nuclear age. Accordingly, the purposes of ASDA are:
1 - the
dissemination of information on issues of strategic defense,
2 - the exchange of
information on the various means of survival and recovery and,
3
- the
advancement of knowledge on the possible effects of a strategic or terrorist
nuclear attack.
Many of the original members of ASDA were physical scientists,
social scientists, and engineers engaged in nuclear defense research. Some
of them are still active. ASDA is invigorated by younger members who recognize
that strategic nuclear threats have not disappeared and that a terrorist nuclear
explosion is, as Tom Clancy expressed it, the Sum of all Fears. Sample our
commentary, learn how ASDA functions, and, if motivated, how you can become a
member. Feel free to contact us at
